STS Enterprise Corporation is gearing up for its 6th Annual Bringing out the Leaders Event on Thursday, April 11 at the University of Memphis. Highlighting the three pillars of Bringing out the Leaders, exposure, enlightenment, and empowerment; this free event aims to bridge the gap between college and career by connecting college students with top industry professionals in the mid-south.
STS Enterprise recognizes the challenges that exist in getting college students out to network with professionals in the city, as well as acquiring knowledge in their desired fields and careers. Bringing out the Leaders is an event that is designed to overcome these challenges.
Bringing out the Leaders gives students the opportunity to participate in an authentic Q&A session with local leaders from the community. The Q&A panel includes: Curtis Givens, CEO at CGI Entertainment; Phillip Ashley, CEO of Phillip Ashley's Chocolate; Michael Whaley, Shelby County Commissioner; Laura Whitsitt, Senior VP at Smith & Nephew; and Mariangeles Grear, Development Specialist at ALSAC/St. Jude.
Bringing out the Leaders is not intended to be your normal cliché networking and Q&A session with students. STS has created a platform where college students can ask authentic questions and receive valuable insight.
“We want them to leave this event with real answers and real solutions that they can use the second they leave this event,” Jeremy Calhoun, Co-Founder of STS Enterprise said.
More than 170 students and professionals attended last year’s Bringing out the Leaders event and raved about having the opportunity to connect with professionals and how down to earth everyone was.
In addition to great advice from local professionals, attendees have a chance to receive free professional headshots, scholarship awards, business portfolios, electronics, and other great prizes and giveaways.
“Last year we gave away over two dozen prizes and giveaways such as professional headshots, Amazon Echos, Amazon Firesticks, and business portfolios,” Calhoun said.
Bringing out the Leaders is a free event and open to the public, with RSVP. STS Enterprise thanks their title sponsor, Transnetyx, for their contributions to this event.
