An Early Christmas Gift for a local Memphis Teen

In early December STS Enterprise Corporation held a conversation with local youth on a variety of topics and current events. This effort was led by STS Strive senior Cama’Ron Ware who moderated the conversation with three awesome young men. During the conversation, Traveon Hill mentioned he has a desire to become a politician but has never met anyone in that field. Alton Cryer, STS Enterprise Executive Director, knew exactly what he needed to do for Traveon.

Through STS Enterprise Corporation’s "Bridging the Gap" Initiative, Traveon had the opportunity to have a One-on-One conversation with two local leaders here in the Memphis community who are committed to empowering the next generation of leaders. Those two leaders being Tennessee State Representative London Lamar and Memphis Councilman JB Smiley.

Thank you to Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley Jr. and Tennessee State Representative London Lamar for taking the time of their schedule to connect with STS panelist Traveon Hill who is also a member of the University of Memphis’ Upward Bound Program.
